The Importance of Hydration

The Importance of Hydration
Proper hydration is paramount in maintaining general health.

Here's a few reasons why it's important to stay hydrated:

- it's needed to transport hormones and nutrients throughout the body

- it helps to lubricate joints

- it helps flush out excess histamine which fortifies the immune system

- it helps maintain regular bowel habits

- the hydrogen atoms in water contribute to adequate hydrochloric acid aka stomach acid

- it helps to clear toxins from the body

- dehydration can cause a decline in cognitive function including short-term memory, focus & mood

The amount and type of water you drink, in combination with your diet, stress load and sleeping patterns, can greatly influence your hydration status.

We recommend investing in a water filter and/or sourcing fresh spring water and adding in a pinch of sea salt 1-2 times per day to maintain electrolyte balance.

Supplementing with magnesium also helps to replenish electrolytes. We recommend our CALM internal support.

As a general rule, if you're drinking less than 2 liters of water per day, you're likely dehydrated.

If you're reading this right now, this is your sign to hydrate.
